As I have mentioned before I’m so much excited about Tata Jagriti Yatra. I started adding people from Tata Jagriti Yatra facebook page in my profile and getting in touch with them before the trip. The awesomeness of knowing people and getting into the yatra is building every moment. I don’t know if there is anything more exciting so far for me. I still remember when I read about Tata Jagriti Yatra when i went for a product demo at Wayanad, It was in Mathrubhumi Yatra I think. I was so excited about it that, i registered for it. After good amount of excitement, trouble and all I’m on board for TJY 2009.

I have done some good shopping for TJY 2009. Prepared some checklist and bought new dresses and all. The hand book given by TJY team really helped. Flight tickets has been booked before, this time I’m boarding from Calicut International Airport and In Jetlite Airways, trying every possible option with it .

The only sad thing I found is that I can’t be with my team ioss when we celebrate First Anniversary of our baby Infinite Open Source Solutions. That feeling is killing me like anything. But I can’t afford to loose TJY 2009, My team is there for my disposal at all time. This is what life is all about… Priorities…

Well that’s all for now. Train is about to reach Kannur. This is good, Non stop from Calicut to Kannur, Should try this train whenever it is there…

People were mentioning that many times before. But this is worth mentioning.

I met a guy, forgot his name (Shaheen i think, will update this when he mails.. ). I was  reading “The World At Your Feet” by Sabirul Islam. He came and asked ‘Aren’t you malayaalee?’. I said yes and started talking. When he asked what am i doing?, I replied i have a software development company in calicut and handed over my business card. I read the card thoroughly and replied, “Kandal parayilla…”. Well what should i reply. I’m too young to look like a CEO.(See the pic… )

He is 2008 passout engineering graduate in mechanical engineering. We talked to other for a long time about college life, friends, family and all. He is going to attend a Job Fair in Chennai as he don’t have any job now. He is basically from Thalassery which helped us to build the friendship quickly. One of his friend has already started a company and is working on it. Its was great to meet him…

Being incubated in Technology Business Incubator at National Institute of Technology Calicut, i very well know the value of incubation, the platform and exposure it provides every entrepreneur to grow.

I had applied for Tata Jagriti Yatra 2009 which is an annual train journey that takes hundreds of India’s highly motivated youth on an eighteen day national odyssey, introducing them to unsung heroes of India. The aim is to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship – both social and economic – within India’s youth by exposing them to individuals and institutions that are developing unique solutions to India’s challenges. Through this national event they have begun to inspire the youth of India to lead and develop institutions both nationally and within their communities.

The yatra fee for the journey is Rs. 32,000/-. After reviewing my application and profile Tata Jagriti Yatra team has given me a part sponsorship of Rs. 17,000/-. So now I’m looking for someone who can sponsor the rest of the amount which is Rs, 15,000/-. Being an independent entrepreneur of only 23 and without any life savings so far, I will not be able to afford the fee for the yatra. It will be great if you can suggest someone who can sponsor me for the same.

Tata Jagriti Yatra is an annual train journey that takes hundreds of India’s highly motivated youth (with some participation of international students) between the ages of 20-25 and experienced professionals, with age above 25, on an eighteen day national odyssey, introducing them to unsung heroes of India. The aim is to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship – both social and economic – within India’s youth by exposing them to individuals and institutions that are developing unique solutions to India’s challenges. Through this national event we have begun to inspire the youth of India to lead and develop institutions both nationally and within their communities.
The first Tata Jagriti Yatra successfully took place between December 24th 2008 to January 11th, 2009.
