Wake Up Sid Movie Review

Wake Up Sid(WUS), a much awaited movie, as i mentioned in my earlier post with WUS trailer http://blog.nijumohan.com/2009/08/17/wake-up-sid-trailer/ its good. As per @manjunarayan, Its Refreshing, relatable and yo-yo, and i agree with that. Ranbir and Konkana Sen seems to have a good onscreen chemistry. It worked out well. This is the second movie I’m seeing in a week where Anupam Kher as a father in a very serious role . After a long time we left the theatre satisfied, watching Wake Up Sid was worth it.

A bit of a story line: Ranbir acts a Sidharth Mehra, Sid lazy son who has all the fun during college, parties, freakouts etc. Konkana Sen comes to Mumbai to fulfil her dreams as writer. They met during a party on the night she came to Mumbai. That friendship works out. After completing his degree exams Sid’s father offers him a Porsche for going to Office for a Month. Good for him. The situation changes when the exams results came and Sid didn’t pass the exams. Sid fights back the situation. You people better watch it…

This was the second movie in my Weekend Blast with my Movie Pals Ance and Manju Narayan. Movies during college life where total fun, we where able to bunk classes during new movie releases and watch the movies on the first day itself.

Destroyed in “LUCK”

Before i could start telling something about the movie, everything told here is my personal opinion only…

I was going through a very busy schedule, as i was in town with some paper work in bank and all i decided to go for “LUCK” when I’m done. After having my lunch went to theatre, there was 10 people max at the theatre.

The movie is pretty much bad, there is nothing to claim in this movie other than some dialogues between Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakravaorthy. Incomplete scripts which leaves a lot of loop holes at the end, you will be asking how and why that happened?. There a game happening in the movie where the host is talking in hindi to the foreign participant!!!. WTF??? And you wont have any idea in the number of participants removed in each level. Shruti Hassan is good looking, perfect in shape. And the climax, i dont even wanna talk about it, unbelievable things happening there. There is nothing specific to tell about the acting of Imran and Shruthi, they didnt reach upto the level.

My rating : 1/5. Are you thinking why i gave 1 for the movie still its the worst one, its just for Shruti Hassan for that Bikini Shot. I recommend plan something else than going for this movie, total waste of money and time, Hangout with friends, just chill…

There are always some personal favourites. This is one of those kind. I have great faith in this movie, don’t know why? May be because Deepika and Saif are my favourites or May be because its from the director of “Jab We Met”, my all time favourite movie. Well waiting for the movie to release. Trailer is promising, hopefully watching the movie on the releasing day itself. Songs are really good, those are the ones in my current playlist.
